Submit to a magazine

There are tons of magazines out there that accept poetry, articles, and/or other written works. The key to this step, is to do it. And, do it more than once. If you think about sales and marketing, you would recall that if you sent out about 1000 pieces of promotion, you get a return rate of 2 - 11%. Think about this in terms of your poetry. If you send to 3 magazines, your chances of getting published are quite slim.

Lucky for you, Poetry Canada magazine accepts work any time, all the time, from anyone. So if you haven't sent your work there yet, then it is time to do so. Guidelines

Technically, once you do this, you have satisfied the lesson. But wait - you want to get published right?? So now it is time to dig, research, put your list together, and really increase your chances at getting your work to a magazine, and published.
