Submit to a contest

There are lots of free contests out there, including those offered by Poetry Canada magazine. Simply find a contest that appeals to you, and send in an entry. Get your poetry out there, release it, and let it be read.

I have heard so many poets say to me - "I want to be published." When I ask for a biography of anthologies, or contests, or books authored, or ways that they attempted to gain credits within the community, they say they don't send out there stuff. Then how do you expect to get published??? There is no magic book fairy that finds you huddled next to your computer while you create the best work mankind has ever seen.

Take your favourite poem, and send it out. If you have sent out in the past, had bad experiences, hate contests, you only have to do it one more time then. Erase the past, and create a whole new magnificent future for you and your poetry.

In your posting, let us know the contest you submitted to. That's all. And GOOD LUCK!
