Clerihew

Clerihew is a humorous, pseudo-biographical verse of four lines (quatrain) of uneven length, with the rhyming scheme AABB. Add to this, that the name of the subject usually ends the first line, and the humour of the clerihew is whimsical rather than satiric. This form was invented by Edmund Clerihew Bentley (1875-1956).
