Norma West Linder
Norma West Linder, CFP member and advocate, lives in Sarnia, ON.
Norma West Linder has been writing for over 40 years and has many poetry books/chapbooks to her credit.
Not only has she taught Creative Writing at the college level for several years, but she still belongs to a
writer's group in Sarnia, Ontario where she continues to write and mentor.
Norma West Linder is a prolific, award-winning author who has written and published five novels, ten collections of poetry, a memoir of Manitoulin Island, a children's book, and a biography of Pauline McGibbon. Her work has appeared internationally in Canada, the United States, Britain, and Australia plus one of her short stories has also been translated into Dutch.
Although she was born in Toronto and spent her formative years on Manitoulin Island, she settled in Sarnia where she has been a resident since 1952. For 24 years, she was on the faculty of Lambton College where she taught English and Creative Writing. Today, she continues to write a monthly column for the Sarnia Observer called "Memories" formerly known as "Heart & Soul".
