Flavia Cosma

Flavia Cosma is a Romanian born Canadian poet. She took her Master's in electrical engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest. After that she studied drama for two years. In Romania she worked as a radio and television Sound director. She continues to work in this field as an independent producer/director/writer for TV documentaries.
First Prize for the poem "The Season Of Love", at the "Paz en el Mundo - Primer Concurso Poemas Pour La Paz" (Peace in the World - First Competition for Poetry for Peace), awarded by The Bilingual Writers MCA Club and IFLAC, Argentina.

The poem "The Season Of Love" was translated into Spanish by Maria Cristina Azcona from Argentina, and
the English version was chosen as The Poem of the Month for the month of February by the same association.
She is the author of 12 books, including her latest Leaves of a Diary and has read
with the likes of George Elliot Clarke - who will also be
teaching one of Flavia's books to students at the University of Toronto, Canadian Literature program.
