Amir Hasham, CFP member, and supporter of the CFP
mission and methods. |
There is a consortium of poets that are critical
to the success of the CFPChat area, an area which ensures that poetry is shared,
vibrant, and creates a safe and friendly family environment, and Amir is a
constant poster and supporter of this area, not to mention his poetry is
passionate and well-crafted.
Amir was also published this year as part of
the anthology "The Spirit of Humanity"
It is the grass roots poets such as Amir that help poetry organizations remain
active both on the internet and in the public.
Amir is a
lawyer practicing litigation in Vancouver, British Columbia
since 1981, and has won a number of important cases in the
fields of civil and criminal law. He is semi-retired now and
devotes a lot more time to his writing.
He has been a steady contributor to Poets' Paradise since May
2006 and by now has posted 194 poems or comments with regard to
posting of other poets.
Apart from poetry, Amir also writes short stories and, recently,
one of his short stories won the First Prize in a Fiction
Contest , organized by the North Shore Writers' Association.
That story has now been published by NSWA in their 2006
Anthology.
Currently, Amir is working to get together a selection of his
poems and will be looking to have those published.
