CFP MEMBER TESTIMONIAL
Ken Munro, CFP Member, Bedford, NS
"I have only been a CFP member for a few weeks, but in that time,
Tracy took the time to check out my website, see what I did, and then asked me to
write an article for Poetry Canada magazine about podcasting.
When I joined, I had no idea that I would get published so quickly, and become an
active part of such a great organization. She takes a look at her members strengths,
and helps you to appreciate and identify where you can help promote yourself and
your writing.
In addition, I am also a featured poet at the launch of the new Halifax Federation of Poets. All this has helped to advance my poetry career, much to my surprise and delight.
Thank-you very much."

The chill of October, and the sights and sounds of fall, with an splash of orange
at every turn. I love the look of this season, I just wish it came with a 75 degree
temperature. I am in Atlanta right now, and off to Los Angeles on Thursday to
participate in the Artists for a Better World Festival in Hollywood, CA. There
is still time to come and experience one of the best festivals I have been to for
artists and writers.
I'm not back until the 12th, so response times will be slow. However, I will be announcing
our next members only anthology soon so you can start to limber up your poetic
flair and start to think about things such as the environment, mother earth, the
planet, and how we can preserve and protect it. We know it's in the crapper - now I
need you guys to figure out what we can do about it!
If you're not already a member, it is a great time to join the CFP and be eligible
for our next anthology. Our first anthology, The Future Looks Bright, had our highest
grossing sales in InnerSurf history, was ordered in large quantities into the
library system, and is completely SOLD OUT!
Check out the benefits and join.
A free subscription to Poetry Canada magazine and over 20 other
benefits, to help you really get your money's worth.

FEDERATION FUN
It was standing room only, and CFP members, Betty Dobson and Donelda Kent, co-chairs of the Halifax
Federation knew how to introduce the poets of Halifax to the CFP and all it has
to offer!
It was attended by the poet laureate and many others. They are currently setting up non-profit status for the
Canadian Federation of Poets, and are looking for volunteers in that area
to help with the organization and event planning. Contact them for
more information about this, and how to get your Federation going.
