NEW YOUTH DIRECTOR
A special welcome and thanks to
Rebecca Cuevas De Caissie who is taking on the position of
Youth Director.
This is a very important position that Rebecca has taken on, and I am
thrilled to have her as part of the team, helping to shape the minds
and keep poetry alive at a very important audience - our youth.
Our youth provide the future for our tomorrow, and it is important
that with them they bring the beauty of poetry, and use the inspirational
power of words.

Poetic Beauty
|
POETIC BEAUTY is a story Joanne wrote in the hopes of giving teens
the courage to stand up and say no to abuse when dating. This story is about a
teen who finds herself in a bad situation, and is courageous enough to look
honestly at her feelings. As she realizes the danger that would confront her
if she chose to continue in this volatile relationship, she knew there were choices
to be made, and she alone must find the courage to make them.
Paperback - 84 pages ISBN #08059-9109-3

Through The Ages
|
Through The Ages is a compilation of Inspirational Poetry, where Michaela
taps into her spirituality, to reflect on inspiration drawn from the ancient Qabbala,
scripture, nature, and creation - to express a thirst and desire for knowledge,
transcendence, and a longing for unity and completion.
She conveys desires, hopes, and pain as legitimate means for forgiveness and
deliverance. She expresses a longing for a redeemer, and a perfect hero
and alludes to biblical figures as such personas and archetypes in our lives.

SPREAD THE WORD
The Canadian Federation has a new logo, and we want everyone to take it, and put it
on their website. If you have a website, put it up there. If you receive this
newsletter, you are free to copy the logo, and put it on your website, with a link
to http://www.federationofpoets.com.
Anyone who puts the logo up, let us know with an email that has "Promote Poetry" in
the subject line, and the website name, and on December 31st, we will select one lucky winner to win a
free ad in Poetry Canada magazine's Poets' Marketplace section. Help poetry,
and yourself - it's a win, win!
If you need help, let me know and I'll show you what you need to put in your webpage
to get it running.
MEET THE TEAM
