MEMBER FEEDBACK
Nikhil Parekh - "It's a supreme privilege being
associated with the Canadian Federation of
Poets and Poetry Canada Magazine. Poetry is a tough art to be
appreciated and pioneered/patronized ahead, but the Canadian Federation of
Poets founded by Tracy Lynn Repchuk puts all apprehensions to celestial
rest. Never has an organization so brilliantly patronized poets from across
the world, although having its rudiments in Canada. I would personally like
to congratulate Tracy Lynn Repchuk, the President for so amazingly crafting
an organization such as this; which inspires poets from all
nationalities/countries/fraternities to be a part of it and propagate their
craft forward via the federation. Any poet who joins the Canadian Federation of Poets is sure to
reach towards the ultimate heights of his poetic career."

"I SEE WHITE THINGS!" Okay, so now you all know that I have a morbid
hatred of the cold. I did realize that I love snow - if only it was
warm. It's shiny, and pretty, and blankets the landscape with a fresh
new perspective - but - it requires moving off my driveway and walkways
and I can only see through a tiny opening on my windshield. It amazes
me I get out of bed in the winter at all. Perhaps a past life as a grizzly
bear has served me well. But thankfully I have many groups and people who
depend on me, so I do awake full of zest, and bounce and leap into my day
with great enthusiasm, and sip my hot chocolate with those tiny
little marshmallows
while looking out my frosted windows. And again, this got me thinking
about being needed and depended on, and how it relates to responsibility
for myself, and others in helping to make the world a better place, and my
home a great environment, and our schools a learning ground, and the
importance of educating everyone through our words. Wow, all that
from a little bit of snow.
So I wanted to add a bit of a challenge this
month, and that is to prepare yourself for a 2006 that incorporates into
your plans one way you can help each month, especially by getting your
words or encouragement across to others. Plan to write with a purpose.
Take your talent and teach it. We do have a responsibility to this planet and
its people, so help put poetry everywhere!
If you have any
ideas, questions, or want to start a local Federation in your area, let me know!
Send me an email.

SPECIAL THANKS FROM THE PRESIDENT
I am a pretty blessed person. I have been nominated for Business Woman of the Year by the
Chamber of Commerce, Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year, have received awards for my companies,
my products, my work, my writing, my volunteer work, and am a member of the International Who's Who for
multiple professions - but never before have I had someone write a poem about me and publish it
in their book. It is simply called "For Tracy", and he also drew a picture as well.
I am deeply touched, enormously
honoured, and wanted to thank Paul Hartal for this wonderful gesture. It appears in his just
released book "Postmodern Light", which he graciously sent me. There is an eternal light
from a poet, and it is my dream to help everyone keep theirs shining.
