December- Last month of 2009 before we bring in a new year.
I'd like you to think about what kind of IMPACT you want to make for
2010. What do you want to accomplish with your poetry? What events do
you want to attend? What organizations do you want to support? What
message do you want to get out there?
Make 2010 the year you can finish this sentence "My message for
this year is
...."
Our membership is growing fast, and with over 3000 newsletter
subscribers that's a lot of potential new members to become a part of
our family and sharing in this experience. For only $35 for an
entire year, your news can appear here, on our blog, your items
can be added to our CFP Shop, and there are tons of promotion
opportunities. Go here to find out more:
www.Federationofpoets.com/join.htm
And our current National Coordinator George Arnold is moving to New
Zealand, and starting us up in that country now, and that has meant a
lot of exciting changes for us right here. See below for the full story.
This also means that we have to have all members move to an
automated payment system - ie. paypal - no more cheques can be
processed. If you haven't already done this - it is time to
renew/join using this method so you can continue to be a part
of a great organization

Thanks
Enjoy the month and keep on creating :)

Are you a CFP member and write articles? Send them in too. They
can be considered for this newsletter as well. That is free publicity
and promotion whether you are a poet, editor or publicist. The articles
should be how to, tips and tricks, getting published type. Anything that
helps a poet take their craft to the next level.
Featured Book

In his eloquent new collection of poetry, Poems of Moss and Water (published by
AuthorHouse), Ray Miot plumbs the depths of nature, love and destiny, revealing
filigree impressions on the world and human emotion.
Wrapping beauty and horror in an evocative mix of words
and images, Poems of Moss and Water offers a message of love, mutual
understanding and peace in a war-torn, despairing world.
It presents a thoughtful,
life-enhancing collection of poetry that will surely invigorate readers’
perception of the world around them.

PAYPAL PAYMENTS
SPECIAL NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS:
CFP RENEWALS
A reminder that for many of you it is time to renew.
Everything is now done online and
As you may recall over a year ago we
implemented paypal online processing for your membership.
Two things happen here, one – the following year it automatically renews,
and two, it is possible for us to keep the costs low.
Paypal eliminates the need to manually monitor and follow up with renewals,
which is a huge, time consuming task.
It allows us to know when you truly do decide to leave, not when emails
didn’t arrive to you, or you forgot to renew. It allows us to focus on the
website, blog, newsletter, and promotion, an issue where poets often need the
most help.
So if you have not gone through the paypal payment option
yet, it is time to do so.
If you recently had the last opportunity to pay via cheque
(which was an option because our National Coordinator was handling that – and he
is now moving to New Zealand to start a new branch there), then you are good
until next year, at which time you’ll need to use the paypal processing option.
For those of you who already did this a year ago,
it will be auto renewing shortly, if not already.
I ask you one enormous favour during this cycle, if you get billed via
paypal, and you do wish to not continue with the CFP, send an email to
tracy@federationofpoets.com
and say please cancel. I will then go into the
system, and REFUND your money.
If you report the CFP as a fraudulent company – which is what you do when
you say you did not authorize the payment, which you did, then we get a black
mark against our account. I will gladly refund your money – under any
circumstances. But when we get black marks, they can shut the account
down immediately, and seize all funds. They can hold this for 6 months, or even
longer. All of the CFP money is in there, because I no longer live in Canada. I
pay the bills from here, and manage everything. If they do this because members
did not give us a chance to refund your money, we will close. This is the only
solution I have to be able to do what I do from another country. So please, you
know this is an organization that has been here since 2001, and I donate my time
and often times money, as do all the other volunteers to keep this running.
Help to keep the CFP alive by
giving us the opportunity to respond and refund – we will do
that every time, for any reason.
I thank you, and appreciate you.
