The heart of summer - my favourite time of the year.
This is when vacations are in full swing, observations
are at their peak, and inspirations run wild.
Whether you are observing from a cottage porch or a theme park ride, you
are in the unique position to share what you see in a way that no one
else can.
Poetry is one of the most expressive forms of communication, so do it,
and do it often.

FEATURED CALL

Artists for a Better World
A Better World Poetry Call
Artists For A Better World
International has announced its 2008 "Call
for Poetry" to global poets for
potential inclusion in the third AFABW poetry compilation book.
Poets may submit up to three (3) of their poems, for no cost, and
poets whose works are selected for inclusion in the book will be
given full credit as well as additional AFABW promotion. Poets
may submit their work via the AFABW website and will receive an
upgraded AFABW "Premier" membership ($75.00 value) at no cost.
CFP RENEWAL AUTOMATION
Starting April 1st, the CFP went to an automated payment plan using
www.paypal.com.
Now before anyone panics, I want to assure you
of a few things.
1. It is safe and secure.
2. It accepts any credit card, making it easy to track it as a
deduction if you have a business attached to your work (which you
should)
3. It prevents us from not properly notifying you, and your
membership getting dropped.
4. Because we allow you to join any day, of any month, and track it
from there for a period of one year, this was getting complicated
with our growth, and the fact that our accounting and
membership locations are in different countries. This movement to
the internet allows all parties to access the necessary accounting
records - helping us once again to prevent missed renewals, easy
registration of new memberships and
notifications of renewal. Our time is much better spent on advancing
poetry rather than administration.
5. Our guarantee to you is that if you are ever billed on your
renewal date, and decide that you no longer wish to continue - your
money will be refunded in full. It will never cost you to
participate in our automated program.
I thank you in advance for being a member, continuing to be a
member, and for understanding that as an organization that runs on
volunteers, the more we can simplify manual tasks, the more time we
can focus on poetry and publishing efforts.
And as a further benefit, you will also be guaranteed price
protection in that the price you enroll at, for as long as
you are a member. will be the price you pay, even if the CFP
membership prices increase (which at some point they will)
If you did not receive Poetry Canada you have probably expired. The
email integrity is diminished to where many emails I send from my
laptop, or you possibly send to me
are not arriving.
Book this spot - Only $15
includes online feature too
