    The next and last issue of Poetry Canada is  coming shortly.   

    It has the interview with Priscila Uppal - Griffin Poetry Short List finalist. 


    This will the last edition, and I will come up with easier ways to get the word out through article distribution in the newsletter, and teleseminar recordings of interviews you'll find interesting.

    It will contain the Priscila Uppal interview, Spirit Youth Award Winners, Book Review, articles and poetry.


    Back issues are available, once they're gone that's it.

    Remember we have lots of activity happening with local Federations so be sure to check the calendar for dates and times.


    Remember we have to have all members move to an automated payment system - ie. paypal - no more cheques can be processed. If you haven't already done this - it is time to renew/join using this method so you can continue to be a part of a great organization

    * Heading to London, UK to speak at Social Media Summit on the impact this has on turning everyone into a journalist, and gives us all a voice - 2 back to back shows over 2 weeks
    * Heading for International speaking tour in Australia - where I will hit cities each week such as Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. I will be away for a total of 6 weeks and bringing my family with me for this amazing experience. I will have racked up 44,815 miles with this one trip alone, and will hit 100,000 travel miles this year.

    * Received 6th National Record Certificate, from the Limca Book of Records for -
    "Being the 1st Indian Poet to be Goodwill Ambassador to the International Goodwill Treaty for World Peace - GoodwillTreaty.org" .

    * Ranked 17th out of 500 of Top Poets in the World on Poem Hunter.com

    Lucia Gorea -
    * Awarded the
    World Poetry Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding contribution to the world of multicultural literature.

      The Anniversary Gala will be held at the Vancouver Public Library in Vancouver, Canada, on April 26 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

    6 of her lyrics have been recorded on the CD "Seasons of Faith" sold on cdbaby.com under Brie/Seasons of Faith. Her daughter is Brie and her brother did the original scores.
