This is so wonderfully exciting and the process was so great. Receiving tons of
amazing poetry about the theme of "The Future Looks Bright". The CFP wanted
to take a leadership role and share the words from enough poets,
to promote a positive resurgence of the prominence of poetry in society.
And now it is available for you to enjoy. The first ever Canadian
Federation of Poets anthology. Enjoy the journey!
If you have any
questions, send me an email.

A TASTE OF WHAT'S INSIDE
Birth of a Poem - by Lynn Tait
Resplendence shaped through storm and light - bent
rays of bright against a dark horizon.
The sky, a solid force of comfort meant
to remind: how vast our thoughts-clipped, hemmed in
only by imagination's traps.
If you close your eyes, like a midnight sky
the darkness opens, space and time collapse
allowing thoughts to split, diversify;
but like restless lovers they risk return,
yearning to embrace the other, a blend
of color, thought and motion, this sojourn
of open mind where words and phrase transcend
the possibilities of sound and theme
beyond the well-worn realms of real and dream.
